Spring Weight Restrictions:
Axle weight limits are restricted on certain streets within the City of St. Paul Park to protect these streets from damage when road and weather conditions warrant. The City of St. Paul Park follows the seasonal load limits that are established by the state of Minnesota. The season load limits will be in effect for eight weeks, unless extraordinary conditions require extending them.
During the spring weight restrictions, the City of St. Paul Park does not issue permits or exemptions for overweight transport, except for school buses and a serious public health emergency.
Residents are encouraged to plan ahead for moving or construction projects. If construction projects are intended to happen during this time, contractors will need to lighten their loads to comply with weight restrictions. Violators of the weight restriction will be fined.
The City of St. Paul Park only monitors and regulates the city streets. All County Roads are regulated by Washington County and all Highways are regulated by the State of Minnesota.
Please contact the Public Works Department at 651-459-3730 if you have any questions.
The road restrictions are in place for 8 weeks in the Spring typically starting in mid-March thru the first week of May.
