Don't Feed Cats
Here in St. Paul Park there are several feral cats that roam the community. Providing a food source or shelter only increases the number of feral cats in your neighborhood. While it's hard to imagine living outdoors during our winters, we know cats have adapted and manage to survive because we continue to have stray and feral cats living in the community.
Did you know that reducing the existing populations of breeding and roaming cats, does not eliminate the nuisances created by the cats. When cats are removed from an area but the resources (food and shelter0 remain, the cats will naturally compensate for the population loss through increased breeding or other cats will move into the area to fill the resource gap. Please don't feed cats.
