Hydrants : Flushing
The City of St. Paul Park flushes hydrants twice a year, once in the spring and again in the fall.
The flushing of hydrants may cause discolored or rusty water with low water pressure during this period.
This is normal during this period and may be corrected by running your cold water only for ten to fifteen minutes.
Remember to watch for discolored water if you will be doing laundry, it could cause staining.
The flushing will last for two weeks and will occur during 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Watch for work crews in your area and warn children to stay clear of work zones.
