Seniors' Guide to Fighting Fraud The Minnesota Attorney General's Office provides a guide to help alert Seniors to the dangers of consumer fraud directed at older people. Prevention is the most effective way to attack this problem. This guide will inform Seniors about the common scams and the steps consumers can take to thwart the swindlers. Reduced Water Rate The City of St. Paul Park offers residents who are 65 years of age or older to receive a reduced water rate of 50%. To qualify the owner and head of household must be 65 years of age or older and uses less than 8,000 gallons per quarter. This discounted rate does not apply to rental property or multiple family dwellings. To receive this discount the applicant must apply annually between October 1 and November 1.
Apartment Living The City of St. Paul Park offers our senior residents an alternative living facilities when they find their home too much to upkeep.With the cooperation of the Washington County Housing and Redevelopment Authority the city offers apartment living for seniors called "Pioneer Apartments".
