Other Regulations

Here are a few other regulations you may want to be aware of:

Odd/Even Watering
Businesses with addresses ending in an even number may water their lawn on even-numbered calendar days.  Likewise, those with addresses ending in odd number may only water their lawn on odd-numbered calendar days.

Winter Parking Ban
Between November 1 and April 1 no vehicle shall be parked on City streets between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on any day.  At all other hours, between November 1 and April 1 on street parking shall be permitted only when parking does not interfere with the removal of snow and ice from City streets.

Parking longer than 24 hours
No vehicle shall be parking upon any street in any one place for a longer period than 24 hours.

Posting Signs
Do not post signs on public property or in right-of-ways.  Illegally placed signs will be removed by the Public Works Department.  Signs may be returned to the owner upon request, but the owner shall pay a fee of $5 per sign.  To claim your signs, contact Public Works at (651) 459-3730.  Unclaimed signs are discarded after 14 days.

Signs
The City regulations regarding signs can be found in Section 74-321 et seq.

Recycling
Most businesses in the Metro area will have to recycle at least three types of materials by January 1, 2016 (Minn. Stat. 115A.151).  Any owner of a commercial building that contracts for 4 cubic yards or more per week of solid waste collection must ensure the building collects at least three types of materials for recycling.
