Single Sort Recycling

How:

Residents of St. Paul Park have the option of "single-sort" recycling.  There is no need to sort your recyclables by item.  Simply place the recyclables together in your recycling bin or cart.

Recyclables (curbside):

Empty and rinse all containers.  Do not place your recyclables in a plastic bag. When in doubt, keep it out.  Putting non-recyclable items in your recycling cart does more harm than good.

  • Glass (bottles and jars)
  • Metal (Food and beverage cans)
  • Plastic  #1, 2, 5 (bottles and containers)
  • Cartons
  • Paper and cardboard

Recyclables (special collection sites):

The following items are "recyclable",  but cannot be recycled via curbside.  Please take these items to special collection sites. Search the Washington County Disposal Directory today at recyclesearch.com.

  • Light bulbs
  • Plastic bags or wraps
  • Shredded paper
  • Hoses, wires, or string lights
  • Textiles

Trash:

The following items are not recyclable and can be placed in the trash.

  • Garbage
  • Diapers
  • Ceramic or dishware
  • Broken glass
  • Black plastic deli trays/containers
  • Food waste
  • Paper towels and napkins
