OPEN Burning Permits & General Information
Minnesota DNR burning permits only allow the burning of clean vegetative matter. This means unpainted , unstained and untreated wood and brush.
Unless restricted by local ordinances, you may also burn :
- Leaves
- Grass clippings
Permits DO NOT allow the burning of:
- Painted wood or Paper
- Plastic or other prohibited materials
- Garbage
