Liquor

No one may directly or indirectly, sell, barter, keep for sale, give away or otherwise dispose of alcoholic beverages as part of a commercial or charitable transaction without having obtained the required license or permit.

Alcohol and liquor licensing and permitting are regulated by MN state statutes as well as St. Paul Park Code of Ordinances.  It is enforced by St. Paul Park city staff, the St. Paul Park Police Department, and the MN State of Department of Public Safety Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement Division.  State law establishes the number of liquor licenses that a city may issue.  However, St. Paul Park is not required to issue the full number of licenses that is has available.

Liquor License Renewals

The City Council will act on liquor license renewals at their second meeting in November.  Submittals must be received no later than 4:00 p.m. a week prior.   Any renewal applications received after this date are at risk of not receiving their liquor license prior to December 31.   The last Council meeting for the year is the second  Monday in December.  Agenda items must be submitted one week prior.
